A majority of the Banking Sector in India is owned by the Government whereas there are private players in the Banking Sector in the recent times with the growing of the Banking Sector in India. In recent times the Indian Banking Sector have been undergoing through the drastic changes and have been growing rapidly than any other sector in the country.

Students still prefer to make a career in the Government Banking Sector because of the popularity of the Government Banks and the trust of the people on the Government Banks.

If you are aspiring to make a career as PO in Banks. PO is an class I officer post of the Bank. In order to become a PO officer one have an option either to go for the SBI PO or IBPS PO. SBI PO is exam for the students who wish to make a career in the SBI whereas for the rest of the 21 government banks one need to give IBPS PO exam.

Following is the eligibility criteria for the BANK PO exam-

1. A candidate needs to be a Graduate from any recognised university from any stream (except Fine Arts ).

2. Should be an Indian

3. Age 20 to 30 years; 5 years age relaxation for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC and 10 years for disabled perosn.

There is no percentage criteria to appear for the BANK PO Exams. You are eligible for the Bank PO exams as per the educational qualification provided you need to meet the other mentioned criteria.

Candidates who want to apply for IBPS Bank PO Exam, they

 

  • Should have completed their Graduation in any stream (Science / Commerce / Arts) (from a University recognized by the Govt. of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.)
  • A Citizen of India
  • Age must be in between - 20 to 30 years.

 

If you satisfy all these conditions then Yes, you are eligible to apply for Bank Exams.

With IBPS PO , you can also appear in IBPS Clerk, IBPS RRB, SBI PO, SBI Clerk, RBI Exams. Because in most of Bank Exams, the eligibility criteria required is Graduation.

 

To Prepare for Bank PO exam,

  • Check Complete Syllabus.
  • Make Time Table & Study Accordingly.
  • Pay attention to all the 3 sections - Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, English.
  • Solve ibps po previous year question papers as many as you can, to take a proper idea about the exam pattern & improve your speed.
  • Take mock tests to analyze your speed & performance.
  • Focus Extra on the weak topics.
  • Learn short tricks to solve questions easily in short time.
