Banking career is considered as one of the respectful and prestigious career option in the society. The mandate policies of Financial Inclusion and Rural Banking have given a room for the Banks to expand their business and also giving an opportunity to hire a Human Resource.
One can make a career either in the Private or Public Banking Sector. Both the Banking sector have a good scope.
The person who wish to make a career in the Banking needs to give a Banking Exams . Bank PO is an officer post and a class I officer post. One who aspires to make a career in the SBI Banks they need to give an exam of SBI PO and the one who aspires to make a career in the rest of the Government Banks needs to give an IBPS PO exam. The IBPS PO exam is conducted for the rest 21 nationalised banks.
The eligibility criteria for the both the Bank PO exams is as follows-
1.A candidate should have completed the Graduation degree from any stream except Fine Arts from a recognised University.
2.Age- 20 to 30 years; 5 years age relaxation for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC and 10 years for disabled person.
3.Should be an Indian.
Percentage is not an criteria for the Bank PO exams. Considering your Graduation Percentage you get eligible for the Bank PO exams.
If you are planning to appear for the SBI PO exams than there are restrictions for the no. of attempts for the exam-
1.General- 4 attempts
2. OBC- 7 attempts
3.SC/ST- No restrictions.
