Hi Mudit,

As this is the same doubt of many students as most of the students think about doing MCA after BCom. You are currently doing one of the most secure and interesting course. MCA after B.Com sounds very unusual. As you are currently doing BCom and also you didn't had maths in 12th so you would not be very good in technical maths except statistics and math is one of the most important subject in MCA also you need to be good in programming language but currently you don’t have programming subjects in BCom. You are currently doing a good course and after that you can either prepare for CA (charted accountant) or you can go for masters in commerce or business administration. That would be a wonderful choice in your career, but if you really wants to do MCA then I would suggest you to join some institute for learning computer programming language and appear for additional maths of 10+2 from any examination board or you can also do 1 year diploma like PGDCA, A-level from DOEACC etc. then only you will be eligible to do MCA.

Dear Aspirant,

It appears that you are also being carried away by the IT fever and trend.

If you didnt have Maths, then you cannot apply for MCA.

Commerce being a vast field for career, I think you should re-consider this thought of going for MCA.

I would suggest you to remain in commerce field and take up career courses where Maths is not required. For example, Company Secretaryship, Corporate Law, etc.

Do call me up in case you require more personalised help.

Best wishes
