Engineering is one of the oldest career option that has been practised since from the Human Civilisation exist on the earth. And so it have a great importance. Its the combination of Science and Mathematical Aptitude that invents and constructs new things. There are many streams of Engineering to study like Mechanical,Computer Science,IT,Environmental,Civil, Agriculture etc. with the development in the technology from time to time there has been streams for learning in the Engineering.
In order to get admitted for the engineering course there were no Entrance Exams held like CET,AIEE etc.
Looking at the demand of the Engineering an Entrance exams were introduced so that the deserving candidates get admitted for the Engineering Course in the Institutes and Universities.
AIEEE means All India Engineering Entrance Exam . This exam is conducted by the CBSE board . This exam was replaced from they Year 2012 by the JEE Exam i.e Joint Entrance Exam. So the name of the AIEEE Exam is now IIT JEE. This exam is a common gateway for the stdudents to IIT's,NIT's and various Deemed Universities.The exam is conducted by the CBSE . The Syllabus is same of AIEEE for IIT JEE Exam. Only the name is changed of the exam. Whereas students who aspires to study in the IIT's they need to come in the merit of JEE Mains from the country
The eligibility criteria for the AIEEE exam is as follows-
1. A candidate who have completed 10+2 from science with minimum 50% or have appeared +2 from recognized university is eligible to apply for the exam.
So if you meet the eligibility criteria as prescribed above you get eligible for the Engineering Entrance exam IIT JEE(AIEEE).
