The UGC NET Exam is conducted for 84 different subjects and all these subjects does not belong from the science stream.
As you want to appear in UGC NET for the subject Botany. So, I would like to recommend you appear in CSIR NET Exam and not in UGC NET.
CSIR NET (Council of Scientific and Industrial Research – National Eligibility Test) is conducted twice a year (June and December).
The Exam is conducted for the following subjects –
As you completed a master in Botany, you should apply for CSIR NET Life Science.
The minimum percentage required to appear in CSIR NET is 55% and you got 57% in post-graduation so, there is no issue in it.
But make sure that you also meet the required eligibility criteria to appear in this exam.
