As an Electrical and Electronics Engineer you can go for an MBA degree if that motivates you. However I would like you to keep following things in mind before taking any decision.

1. If you are working in a private sector organization and you have gained enough technical expertise and you are looking to polish your management and leadership skills so that you can be a more valuable employee then this is the right time to go for an MBA. You will get to learn a number of things about managing the people and resources and be more productive in your work. After your MBA you can come back to same industry at a much higher position.

2. If you want to diversify your skill sets and learn things beyond Electrical and Electronics Engineering then also MBA will be the right choice for you. The learning at any Business School will be a lifelong added value to your resume.

3. Getting an MBA degree will increase your chances of promotion at work place. This is specially true in the private sector where business management skills are utmost important for any employee. Therefore the MBA degree will get you there.

4. If you are working in a public sector organization then it may not be as helpful as in private sector when it comes to promotions. But it will again be useful in terms of skills and learning. You will be able to deal with all the projects and situations in a much better way.

5. If you want to change the career progression and discontinue your work as an Electronics and Electrical Engineer then again MBA is a reasonably good choice as it will give you a chance to learn and explore new opportunities.

6. In case you are a fresher and have just completed your graduation in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, then it may not be a good idea to directly go for an MBA without having a work experience. But if you don't want to work in this field, then you should go for MBA.
