Dear Friend,

Today Lot of Engineers are the student of MBA, Infact as per one of the fact around 70% batch in MBA colleges are Engineers

As a Electrical Engineer you can definitely go for MBA but the Relevancy of Doing an MBA would be better under following circumstance

Diversification : In Case you want to Diversify your career by way of getting a domain knowledge of some other field than it would be better to pursue MBA since MBA would provide you with Lot of Knowledge about Non technical filed.

Growth : Many People get stuck to a particular job and do not see any chance of Growth and thus Doing an MBA would provide one with chance to get in to Leadership and top Management team, Thus it would be a good option if you do a MBA for growth.

Entry : Lot of Engineer prefer to get into the White color job and do not want to work with the machine and want to get into the job which is more based out of office, it would be better if you are planning to get in to the office job to do and MBA and get into the management job.

Business: If you are planning to start your own company it would be better to have knowledge of management since you may be very good with technical knowledge but business skills and communication would be need to make it bigger

The Scope of doing and MBA can be huge since it would depend on you how and when you can utilise your skill of MBA, the only suggestion here would be doing an MBA from a good and reputed institute would be better and would help you long way.

Wish you all the best!!!!
Electrical Engineer
