First let me introduce myself to you, having a background from MBA in finance I can answer your query very well. I did my MBA in finance from IIM Shillong. After that I am working with a private company as a financial analyst.I have an experience of more than three years in the same field.

Coming to your question I would like t highlight some of the common key factors of doing MBA you will come to know and how it is relevant to a research analyst.
MBA- master in business administration is a study where you will get to know the terms and frameworks about the business world, how to relate with business world in respect to investment needs.Being a investment analyst your work is to design a proper investment plan for your company and make sure that the plan works well for making profit and good returns for the company.
After doing MBA you will learn a lot many tools and techniques to lay down your plan in a better and more realistic way, even you can analyse how it will work out in a perfect given business scenario.

In the study you will come across case studies, role play etc techniques where you can see and learn how certain companies overcome their obstacles in certain situations, which is a real time experience in itself to know and analyse. The same situations if you will face in your work in your company then you can relate with it and given better solutions for the growth of the company, after that you will be more clear in your head about the analysis part.
Again if you take the specialization related to your field, yo will learn more about your subject and will have more command and confidence to portray your knowledge on the same.

Apart from all the tools and techniques there you will learn professionalism, how to behave and react in a professional manner. The better ways which is followed and approached in a given way.
