Hi,

To go for CA qualification required at graduation level as follows:
  • Commerce Graduates/ post Graduates with 55%
  • Other Graduates/Post Graduated with 60%
Given the case you have completed B.Com with 47% , one thing is clear you cannot proceed with graduation level.

So how to go about it?

What you can do is Register for the CPC (Commom Proficiency Course) course and after 60 Days you can take CPT i.e. Common Proficiency Test conducted by ICAI.

Few Pointers:
  • CPC registration is valid till 3years.
  • Its a 4 Hr one paper of total 200 Marks.
  • CPT is an Objective Type Test with -ve marking scheme as well i.e. -1/4 or 0.25 will be deducted for each wrong answers
  • In CPT there will be Four Section as follows:
Section A- Fundamentals of Accounting
Section B- Mercantile Laws
Section C- General Economics
Section D- Quantitative Aptitude [ To test the grasp of elementary conceps in Mathematics and Statistics and application of the same as useful quantitative tools.]
  • The Qualifying Mark to Pass CPT is 50% .Most important there is a defined Mandatory Minimum marks to be secured in each section i.e. Sec-A 18, Sec-B 12, Sec-C 15 & Sec-D is 15.

After completing your CPT you can then go for the Intermediate Course [ Integrated Professional Competence ]
There are again Two group consisting of various subject i.e. Group-I Accounting, Business Law, Cost Accountancy, Taxation & Group -II Advanced Accounting, Auditing & Assurance, Information Technology & Strategic Management.

Once you clear this Level you move to Final
Similary, you have myrad subjects to clear in this Level as well.
Then you do your articleship.

On the whole if you are able to clear all level in first shot it take total of 4years to be a CA.

That's It ! Hope it helped.
PLEASE REMMEMBER NOTHING COMES EASY....... IF YOU WANT SOMETHING PASSIONATELY GIVE EVERYTHING TO IT AND SUCCES IS BOUND TO COME.

All the Best!
