Hello Student,

It seems that you are pursuing class 12 currently, But since i dont have much details about you, I would help you only on your desired course: Bachelor of Architecture.
This course aims at design and systematic development of building keeping in mind all the aspects including the environmental ones too.The student of B.Arch needs skills especially on drawing, writing, innovative ideas and creative thinking. This course can make you a good architect which are very rare to find in the market. They have a great demand as the construction industry is moving too fast. Architects need to plan and carry out the building projects. This course includes subjects such as Mathematics, Computer Aided Design, Urban Economics, Sociology, History of architecture and inteior design etc.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for selecting B.Arch as course, one needs to pass the intermediate exams i.e. plus two with a minimum of 55% marks. To take the admission, one needs to appear in the entrance exam conducted by various institutes.

There are a lot of institutes which have this as a main course. And is a good career option.

The rebuilding of 'Twin Towers' collapses in 9/11 incident and other tower and structures shows the real dint of human talent and excellence, creativity and vision.


Required Personal / Professional Skills:
A person requires soun Interpersonal & communications skills and immense physical stamina to get into the profession of architecture. He is expected to work on desk as well as on the construction sites. Excellent memory and sound concentration level, flexibility, patience, team spirit, responsibility, and accountability, etc. are some common personality traits which are essential for professional success in architecture and design. But it is the right credentials in academicswhich matters the most in architecture.


Eligibility:
Candidates with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry at the 10+2 level only can apply for admission to study architecture at the graduate level.

Various colleges offer undergraduate course in B. Arch which lasts for 5 years. The selection is done through an entrance exam conducted by the Concil of Architecture throughout India.

On the other hand engineering colleges select students on the basis of the result of the appropriate egineering courses. Similarly, some private colleges offering coursesin architecture have their own criteria which are based on +2 marks of students. Students interested to further their knowledge in architecture can pursue post-graduation in architecture for 2 years.
