Food technologists are hired by both private sector as well as public sector organizations. In the public sector one can find jobs in organizations like Food Corporation of India, Modern Food Corporation, North Eastern Agricultural Marketing Corporation, Milk food, Verka etc.

The job of food technologist in nay of these companies include examination of food, checking for adulteration and contamination and certifying food nutritional value.
