Architecture as a career

The architecture of B. Arch is the course that deals with the design principles and structural parameters of buildings and other real estate bodies. The main job of architects is to design and create different building structures as well as all the material that has to be used in creating the real buildings. Hence making architecture and architects as one the important roles in the development of real estate buildings, which make precision and accuracy as one the most important requirement in this field. Due to all these factors the responsibility and pressure to perform as well as creativity is almost high.  Architecture is one of those courses that require each and every student to be highly creative and improving holistically and hence making the architecture as one the most practical subject and architects as one of the most responsible and professional people to work with in every possible way.

With all that, the requirement of a highly creative person in the field of architecture is mandatory, which means the person with strong ideas and greater vision about how to build skyscrapers, buildings or bridges. This makes the job not easy and involves a lot of work includes manpower and focus on working in the peak hours of the day and even spending most of the times in taking care of organizational and work sites. Apart from that, the work involves a very high potential knowledge of almost every component in the production in order to use it effectively and hence making architecture as one of the most responsible fields to work on. Due to all these, an ability to work indifferently and challenging hours of the day and working with consistency is the most important thing. So in order to that, questions arise, will it be best for female candidates to pursue architecture course. The answer to this question is certainly depends on various factors.

The first part of this job is creativity.

The job description of the being an architect revolves around being creative and able to think differently in a positive way only. The architects have to design the new building on paper and in the real world too. And the ideas can’t stay normal, as each and every building has different requirement and are meant for the different purpose. And hence uniformity in all the designs cannot be taken which made the job most creative. And in terms of creative, female candidates gets full marks, as girls are most known for their creative thinking rather than functional thinking which made them able to do the job better than anyone else.

The second aspect of this job is work dedication.

The job of architect requires a shear dedication during the heavy hours of work and while some big projects are going on. Due to this the whole schedule of architects become hectic and there is no time to relax. As during their onsite time, they have to work and manage the development of the building and during the offsite times, they have to take care of all the logistics and materials in order to complete the project on time and hence making their work very hard. And by considering the lifestyle in our country, that much pressure is always a problem for household women and hence making it a bit difficult. But in the case of non-household women, the case is totally opposite, and there will be no problem in that since there is less work and proper relaxation time will be provided and hence prevention from all type of fatigue will be there.

The final aspect is work environment and industry.

The work environment of the architects are always onsite and working on different fields and among a vast community of development class, mechanical engineers, civil engineers and other super management. In all the sometimes a level of discomfort and smaller issues like knowledge gap and small conflicts might occur. And hence making it hard to work. So in order to work onsite, independent of the fact whether the candidate is male or female should be able to adjust and adapt in all type of environments. Also in terms of offsite, the person will be within its community and will be able to work properly without any issues.

Hence the final answer to this question is an optimistic answer that each and every person can pursue whatever they are interested in, regardless of their sex or gender. But choosing the right field with proper dedication and willing to complete the task is what matters. So, yes, female candidates and girls can also pursue B.Arch. or architecture course depending upon their interests in the field and there is no stopping in that.
