Hello,

To be a lecturer, you need to fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria. The minimum eligibility required to become an assistant professor is post gradation degree.

The candidates interested in assistant professor posts in the university and for junior research fellowship for research work can apply for UGC NET or CSIR NET exams.

CSIR NET exam is held for science stream candidates for chemical science, physical science, earth science, life science and mathematical science. while the UGC NET exam is held for various 100 subjects.

The candidates are allowed to apply for their post graduation subjects or its related subjects.

You must have the post graduation degree to be eligible for NET subject with more than 55% marks from the recognized university.

There is no age limit for NET lectureship while candidates must have below 30 years for NET JRF exam.
