Dear Aspirant,
IIMs prefer candidates who have scored first class in graduation. This aspect many students ignore and feel that scoring 99 percentile will land them definitely in IIMs.
IIMs consider the entire academic performance since they wish to have the best students for their course. Therefore a first class in graduation is always preferred.
If you are not able to get into IIMs, which are the Top BSchools, still there is no need to lose heart. You can always look for non IIMs like Symbiosis, ISB , FMS Delhi, etc. which are also very good. Ultimately it is important that you perform in the course and learn as much as possible in order to implement in the industry.
Also please also become aware that whether you really wish to do an MBA, since MBA by everyone is not required and mandatory to excel in the career.
