Snaking career is the first choice of the Commerce students and also of many students from other Faculty. Banking is the highest growing sector after the IT and Computer sector. There are many career opportunities for Non-Commerce students also. Bank PO is higher designation offered in the Government Banking Sector. Bank PO exam is conducted for the students who are Graduates. There are two types of Bank PO exam conducted.
The candidate who wish to make a career as PO in any of the Government Banks they need to give an IBPS Bank PO exam. IBPS BANK PO exam is conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection for the remaining 21 Government Banks in the Country.Whereas the candidates who wish to make a career in the SBI Bank they need to give an SBI PO exams.
The educational eligibility for Bank PO Exam both of SBI and IBPS is the same as follows-
1. A candidate should have completed a Graduation Degree from any of the stream (except Fine Arts ) from a recognised university.
2. Should be an Indian; Subject to Nepal,Bhutan.
3. Age- 20 to 30 years; Age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC and 10 years for Disabled person.
As you hold a degree from the Global Open University of Nagaland. I checked its a UGC Approved University so you get eligible to apply for the exam. Whereas you may would be asked to produce the certificates at the time of appointment . In some Bank PO exams a Distance Education Degree is not accepted please check the notification for the Educational Eligibility part before applying. You get eligible to apply most of the Bank PO exams.
