Can I study psychology or cognitive scinces after Ba llb?

hi,i am a third year law student and do not find it interesting,i thought i will learn to like it by now but i just dont.I find my time in law school very depressing and un-inspiring.I am fascinated by humanities espicially,cognitive sciences and psychology. I would like to study psychology and do research in this field after graduation.I am a creative person and love to read and write. I also like research and public policy. what are some alternate fields in law that i can persue apart from the standard litigation-corporate dichotomy.

First of all i would like to tell you that you are already doing third year in law, which is a very prestigious course in it self. I think you need to analyze once again about the whole thought. You have given your precious three years to this course and now suddenly you want to change it. I will suggest that it is not the right idea. What ever the reason may be, you need to re-look about quitting it.

Law is very helpful in all the stages of life. Now a days more and more students are moving towards this stream because they believe that there should be at-least one lawyer in the family. You are already on the verge of completing the degree course, so finish it some how and then think of the other course.

After completing law you can do Psychotherapy course as it will help you in your profession if at all you wish to practice it. There are many institutes running with the affiliation of some or the other University , conducting various diploma courses in Psychotherapy and behavioral sciences , you can enroll your self and do them.

You have not mentioned the place you belong to, so you can use Google and find out the various institutes available in that particular area. I can give the details of institutes available in Mumbai - Institute for psychotherapy and management sciences, Goregaon east Mumbai.

Think again and continue with your law course and complete it. Meet a person from this field and discuss the future prospects of the field and understand everything, i am sure it will help you to re-think over the decision you want to take. Every field has two sides of it. Some times we find it interesting and some times it is not. It is up to us to overcome such challenges and move on.

Any thing you take up in life never leave in the middle of it but try to reach the finishing line. This is always wise. Hope you understand what you need to do next.
