Have you completed school and are wanting to do a BA/ B Sc Fashion designing or have you already completed a bachelors degree and would like to do a degree specific to fashion designing. However, with both the cases, studying Fashion designing is definitely possible. So stay calm and be cheered on that.
first of all, I shall do a little briefing about admission into fashion designing courses and some reputable institutes in this concern. You can straight away do fashion designing courses after twelth standard. Universities run fashion designing at degree and diploma level. To get admitted to a degree level, a eighteen year qualification is necessary. So with a tenth and twelth standard certification, you can apply to colleges in fashion designing for a degree level. There is no requirement for doing courses in Arts before taking admission in fashion designing, You may consider the following universities for admission. But please be aware that most of these universities arrange an entrance test for admissions.
1. National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Chennai, New Delhi, Calcutta, Mumbai, Gandhi nagar, and Hyderabad
2. NID Hyderabad Ahmedabad
3. Lisa school of design
4. International institute of fashion technology (NIFT) New Delhi

. Indian Institute of Art and Fashion technology (IIAFT) Mumbai
6. Pearl academy of fashion, New Delhi, Bangalore
7. Madras Institute of Fashion technology (MIFT) Chennai
8. IEC School of Art and fashion, New Delhi
9. Apeejay institute of design, New Delhi
10. National institute of fashion design (NIFD) Chandigarh
You could try doing direct BSc courses at any of the above mentioned institutes. If you have had a Bachelors degree already, you could consider choosing doing a one year Diploma with them. Alternatively, if you are currently studying at a degree level in any of the universities and want to divert your career, you may choose to study BSc fashion design through a lateral entry option. If you have already studied a Bachelors degree, you may consider to do a Masters like an MSc in fashion designing after a short diploma course as many universities prefer students to have done a Diploma in fashion design if they have not at least studied at a degree level to be eligible to apply for an MSc in Fashion designing.
