With nations becoming globalised and international trade becoming the business model, interactions with diverse nature and diverse cultures is an unavoidable aspect for companies and individuals.

There fore the demand for translators and interpreters is also there. Today not only government agencies require translators and interpreters, but private companies also require them.

Government agencies definitely require interpreters and translators on full time basis.

There are competitive exams conducted for the recruitment of these positions by UPSC and State Commissions. You will need to appear for them and then you stand am opportunity to work in govt agencies.

A first class masters degree in a language is the most required eligibility criteria for these recruitments.

Further private companies involved in travel and tourism also require interpreters and translators, there fore you can also look for this option apart from joining government agencies.
