A very interesting and a Unique question.

The footwear Industry is quite less spoken off, but when it comes to fashion, it is almost incompoleteg without a proper or a matching footwear.

Though earlier this field was restricted to only models or the fashion industry. These days it is a trend for all of us to go with a matching pair with our outfit.
So this industry is always in a demand.

As a designer, you would have to have a complete knowledge in terms of the fabric used, designs that can go in sync and the latest trend.

Being a vast industry, footwear design offers a wide range of bright employment opportunities in technical, designing and management areas. Different job titles include Footwear Designer, Product Developer, Quality Controller, Merchandiser, Marketing Executive, and Trend Analyst.

Most shoe designers prefer to work for mass merchandising footwear manufacturing companies, sportswear companies (Nike, Adidas, Reebok, etc.) or even designer houses.

The basic requisite for this industry is 12th any stream, preferably someone with good drawing and highly creative skills.
After 12th, you can opt for either a B.tech in footwear, or mainly students opt for a B.Designing in Footwear.
