Since this field is related to Science mainly involving Biology and Physics subjects.So you can opt for a B.Sc program related to GeneticsBiomedical SciencesPharmacyMedical Doctors ( MBBS/ MD)
Since the field is more related to Research, you would have to progress towards the P.hD level in future.
As far as the scope is concerned, it is one of the major areas of study, that helps combat any type of future degenerative disorders and helps in stopping or gives insight into existing genetic disorders.T^his is a compete research oriented field, with prospects both in India and Abroad.Though due to the better facilities in terms of labs, and other facilities needed, such research is quite high abroad.
