Hello My Dear Glamour Aspirant,

Your query is really unique and in my more than seven years of career counselling experience, I have literally not come across such type of query and confusion. However, I very much appreciate that you felt the need to approach CareerGuide for seeking guidance and clarification about your career concern. I thank you on behalf of CareerGuide.com for choosing to approach us.

Architecture and Glamour World:

Since I do not see your name mentioned in the query, I think that you are a woman aspirant and based on my experience with career counselling students interested in architecture and engineering fields,
architecture is a most sought career course by females in India and abroad. And yes, glamour world also fascinates women more than men.

Choosing between architecture and glamour world is really really difficult. See, considering both the options, both of them have positives and negatives. I would like to put down some facts which come to my mind in the career sense for both these courses:

Architecture:

Architecture is a highly repouted, certain and well established career option with defined and well structure career growth opportunities.

Architecture is an ever demanding course in India and abroad.

Architecture course is opted by majorly students who are intelligent and have great grasping and studying ability.

Glamour:

There is no specific course or structure to the glamour world and a career in that.

Glamour world is highly uncertain and is very likely that women get exploited, physically and mentally.

Glamour world looks fantastic from outside due to media hype, however is very risky, political inside.

Based on the above facts and some more which can be thought of later, I feel, you should be very cautious while choosing glamour world as your preferred career.

Try the below things:

Try to find out exactly why you are so obsessed with glamour?

Are you really talented enough (just looks does not have complete value) to be a part of any of the segments of the glamour world?

Are your parents, friends ready and accepting if you choose glamour as a career option?

Psychometric Test:

I would strongly suggest you to under go a psychometric assessment test, also available at CareerGuide.com which is downloadable here.

Best Luck!

Dear aspirant

Thank you for approaching counsellors at meracareerguide. From your query i guess you must be definitely a girl child right? Glamour fascinates girls a lot and therefore many girl students land up in beauty and fashion industry. Architecture or glamour, both suits girls highly but it is most important to understand what especially suits only you. Hope you understand what i say. Not all girls career will actually suit girls. There are girls who like mechanical engineering and hate fashion industry. Similarly there are boys who hate mechanical industry and like fashion or beauty or even textile design. Moreover, now you may be fascinated by glamour industry but ask yourself if this glamour will attract you all through your life. We can easily say that girls get attracted to fashion and beauty industry during their teenage but as you turn 30 and above there are high chances for you to lose interest in this glamour industry right? I am not surely saying that you will start hating this industry but i please you to ask yourself if you will continue to like this industry for ever.

So please spend a few minutes in thinking about this. For that you can also spend a few minutes to do psychometric assessment that is available on this CareerGuide.com website. This test will help you understand what you like so much and will therefore direct your professional career through your personal interest. After this test you will be sure about studying whether it is fashion designing or architecture.

I can guide you through some top colleges for both these subjects. For top fashion designing colleges,
National institute of fashion design NIFT
National institute of design Ahmedabad for textile designing
Pearl academy of fashion
Vogue institute of fashion technology
Lisa school of design
Amity fashion institute
Lovely professional institute LPU Phagwara

Some top colleges for architecture are
Sir JJ College of architecture
IIT Roorkee
Chandiagrh college of architecture
NIT Trichy
NIT calicut
Sushant school of art architecture and design Gurgaon
Jamia Millia Islamia Delhi
BIT Mesra
RV School of architecture Bangalore RVCE
Manipal university Manipal Bangalore
Try taking the psychometric test and you will know what suits you the best. Best wishes.
