Banking career offers many job opportunities . Banking sector is one of the fastest growing sector of India. Banking sector of India has not only expanding in the Urban areas but also in the Rural areas. Many students they aspire to make a career in the Banking sector especially of the commerce students whereas there are also other faculty students who aspire to make a career in the Banking Sector . There are many job posts that are offered in the Banking Sector like PO, Clerk,Law officer,IT officer,Agriculture Officer etc.
Many times students don't understand the difference between the Bank Clerk and Bank PO posts and they apply for the exam. Bank Clerk and PO jobs are quite different from each other. Lets understand the difference between them.
Bank Clerk
Its a general post offered in the Bank. The work of the clerk is to maintain all the records, filing of the documents etc. whereas he needs to be present all the Bank Departments.
Bank PO
It means Probationary Officer. Its the post which is a trainee officer post and is considered to be one of the highest post . Its a higher post to the Clerk. The PO starts as the Junior Management Grade Service. The work of the Bank PO is similar to that of Manager Trainee Position. Further more a Bank PO officer can become a General Manager,Director or the Chairman of the Bank.
Both the Bank Posts are quite different in the nature of their work. Its very much needed before applying for any of the post to think which post you wish to apply.
