Thank you for choosing Mera career guide and writing to us.

Fashion designers need a lot of social interaction and yes, they will experience it in ample in day to day life. As a fashion designer, you need to interact with the society as much as possible to know what the society wants, what they prefer, and what they not prefer. With more interaction, you tend to understand more about the requirements of the society where ultimately your clients also live in.

Social interaction and networking is a highly demanding skill for a fashion designer. As said, to understand the needs and provide products accordingly, a fashion designer needs to interact. They also need to interact socially to better market their products. The more they position themselves in the social world, the more their identity is exposed, their designs are exposed, the more it reaches people, the more it sells. Its that simple!

fashion designers also use social media to market their designs. You could easily find designers having their official page on Facebook website where they post their questions to the society, obtain feedback, post their upcoming designs and updates. They also use twitter these days to post updates on their designs. These social media interaction helps them to approach millions of people. Again, the more popularity, the more you are identified as a brand designer and the more you could sell.

Apart from this, fashion designers also need to interact socially on many occasions and functions. Industry people gather to do ramp walk for a jewellery and these fashion designers provide their clothes to be a part of the fashion walk. These fashion designers need to be a part of such social gatherings to use every way possible to expose their designs. This is an industry where three main key skills require designers to be successful and they are 'networking or social interaction', 'creativity in designs' and 'entrepreneurial' skills. It is highly impossible for anyone to be successful if either of the above skills get missed out. As said, social interaction is highly essential for a fashion designer to understand what the society wants and ultimately producing the same. This is a simple theory of marketing, produce those goods that people actually want. So, to understand what they want, you need to interact with the society to learn their requirements.

Hope this helps.
