The role of good interpersonal skills for the job of a chartered accountant is extremely important as explained in the below mentioned points:

1. Chartered accountants have to meet their clients or have conversations with them over telephone or via email in case the client is located at different location. They need to extract the information from the clients and make the conversations go smoothly. Therefore the interpersonal skills are really very important while dealing with the clients and thus providing the valuable contribution to their work.

2. They need to work on accounts, financial records, audits etc in team settings. Chartered accountants usually work in large teams in the organizational settings. Therefore they need to have the art of good interpersonal skills so that they can take work from the employees who are working under them such as audit assistants, analysts etc. and at the same time they can effectively work with other chartered accountants and the senior team in such a way that the best results could be provided in minimum amount of time.

3. The chartered accountants have to attend meetings with the senior management team and need to update them about the progress of the work on regular basis. The chartered accountancy work is very secured and requires huge amount of confidentiality. Thus they need to get in touch with the management team if any problem occurs and immediately resolve the issue. They also need to meet the managers quite regularly so that they can update them about their work and plan the things for the future. Thus again the role of interpersonal skills is huge as that would help them to convey their thoughts and ideas in the best way possible.

Thus the role of interpersonal skills for chartered accountants cannot e neglected and they need to work on it all the time. These skills need to be practiced on daily basis in order to achieve perfection. Then only one can provide their valuable contribution in the work.
