Interpersonal skills are a must for any field. Good interpersonal skills along with right quality of academic record takes you to the height you desire in your career.

Food Technologist also needs to be good in interpersonal skills. A number of interpersonal skills required in this field are as follows-

You need to give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions.
- Writing
Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
- Reading comprehension
Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
- Critical thinking
Using logical and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solution, conclusions or approaches to problem.
- Complex problem solving
Identifying complex problems.
- Monitoring
Monitoring and assessing performance of yourself, other individuals or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.
- Learning strategies
Selecting and using training and instructional methods appropriate for the situation.
- Science
Should have some knowledge of science so that combination of foods can be made to give full benefit.
