IITs and MBA

Indian Institute of Technology is a prestigious name in order to pursue the engineering and science oriented courses, but with the recent development in modern education system IITs have started a new branch of management courses undergoing with its MBA degree which is a post-graduation degrees in the field of marketing and business administration and stands for Masters in Business Administration. These line of courses are started in order to provide students to have a better and more familiar platform in order to pursue their post-graduation and also increase the quality institutions for the MBA in India. The main purpose to start MBA courses in IITs is to involve the big and enormous alumni of the IITs in the MBA or business administration courses and create a better platform for the young and upcoming generation to showcase and attain better from the top most institutions of the country.

Value of Sales and Marketing from IIT

The main focus of IITs in their management courses is to provide vocational knowledge and exposure to each and every child. Since, IITs originally are the Science oriented institutes, and are known for the over the top facilities, the motto for the MBA courses is to plan a course together in order provide all the technical and theoretical aspects of the subjects to each and every student and hence helping them in order improve at a faster and a better rate. One thing that is assured in all the IITs is the quality assurance and this is the most important perk of IITs. The quality assurance is the degree of providing the comfort level and understandability among the clients and hence is considered to be the most important constraints while measuring the degree of the client’s satisfaction. This mentality is most important for sales and marketing aspirants and hence making it as one of the most important traits for making the sales and marketing courses of higher potential value in the market. This is why the courses with specialization in either sales or marketing both have a unique value in the present day market and making it of a greater importance.

In the modern world contrast, the IIT has become a brand name and due to that, it has an importance in the industry among many companies as well as among the top notch universities of world. With all that, the facilities at IIT is very high and hence making it of the prior importance. In comparison with other B-Schools, the facilities and approach that is followed in these institutes is bit of orthodox yet convenient and because of a very high experienceand being part of this field over these many years, the qualityprovided by the top most B-schools are very good. In comparison to that, IITs are very new, and are considered to be with a fresh approach, yet, the experience and ability to understand the organizational standards in the IIT are very high and this is the only great thing that makes IITs better and much different from all the other institutes. The faculty and facilities at IITs are very good just like all the other campuses but this different approach earns IIT extra points.

Eligibility criteria

Just like any other College, IITs have its own standards and an elaborative method in order to process the new batch of students in order to enroll them in their Management courses. The process is simple and is as same as followed by the many other colleges or by IIMs. The first step of selection process is CAT exam which is the common entrance test that is conducted as a screening phase for almost every MBA institution in India. After that on the basis of the cut off list from the CAT score, the process of filling of online admission forms goes live. The selected applications from that phase are then later selected for Group discussions and Personal Interviews which are considered to be last piece of the puzzle and on the basis of the performance in these rounds the final students are selected for the MBA from IITs.

IITs as a greater opportunity

As we all are familiar with the values and mission of IITs and understand the reputation IITs hold, it is important to know that the industry is full of people from IITs and with such a diverse alumni the importance of choosing IIT as an option to pursue to a full time marketing and sales course is very high and is preferred to purse a marketing course from the IITs.
