i've looked into their website but couldn't find it.. would you please help me?
Thanks for posting your query on meracareerguide . I'm sorry I could not reply to the same earlier.
You seem to be interested in pursuing M A in Psychology but have a specific college in mind. However unfortunately the answer to your question might be disappointing. As you have mentioned that the college website does not mention a Psychology programme, neither a graduate level nor post graduate level . This is because they do not offer such a programme. In fact they do not have a Psychology department at all.
A programme that is somewhat closeto Psychology that they have is within the social work programme. They have a two year programme on M A in Social work with a specialisation in Medical and Psychiatric Social Work.
Though this is not a programme in Psychology itself it has components of the same. So if you are very particular about chosing a programme offered by this college alone , you may consider this M A in Social Work.
However there are other good institutes in Chennai that offer M A in Psychology, in case you wish to look beyond the Loyola College, Chennai.
For instance, University of Madras and its distance education department has several programmes in Psychology. The Madras School of Social Work also offers an MSc in Counselling Psychology.
If you are looking specifically for a convent run college in Chennai, the Madras Christian College has an MSc in Applied Psychology. It is a well known programme and college.
Presidency college and Sri Ramachandra University are some other good options for M A or M Sc in Psychology in Chennai.
In case you don't mind looking at colleges outside Chennai, you will find may options in very reputed institutions all over the country. Let me know if you need any help with that.
