There are various posts offered in the Banks like Bank Clerk,Bank PO,Bank SO (Law,IT,Agriculture,Marketing etc).
Bank PO officer post is a Higher post offered in the Banks its a Class I officer post. There are two types of Bank PO exams conducted
1. SBI PO its meant for those who wish to make their career in the SBI bank
2. IBPS PO exam is meant for the those who wish to make their career in the rest of the Government Banks.
The eligibility criteria for the Both PO exams are as follows
1. A candidate should have completed a Graduation Degree from any recognised university from any stream (except Fine Arts)
2. Candidate should be an Indian.
3. Age 20 to 30 years; 5 years age relaxation for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC and 10 years for Disabled Person.
On getting recruited as the Bank PO officer one have many career opportunities in the Banking Sector like
1. Can prepare for the JAIIB / CAIIB exams.
2. Can prepare for the RBI Grade B exams.
3. You can prepare for the other exams like CFA/FRM etc.
4. Can try for SEBI/DRT or other banks on deputation basis.
