Hello Dr,

Firstly, you being a medical Professional, you would definitely have a better idea which course would be suitable and whether you should pursue it or not.

As far as me being a layman in this field and just a research over the net, generally doctors do not suggests a super specializations in the field of Anesthesia.
Since once you specialize in the field, you are able to operate all kinds of patients with all kinds of issues.

But, as your question directs towards a fellowship program, I would suggests you to check the following website. They have listed down a list of fellowship program available at their centre. Few Fellowships found from the site are:

  • pain and critical management
  • paediatric anaesthesia
  • obstetric anaesthesia
  • regional anaesthesia
  • transplant anaesthesia
  • neuro anaesthesia
  • cardiac anaesthesia

At the same time, I am sure you are aware that a PG Diploma graduates can be promoted only to the level of senior resident doctors as per the MCI rule.

Probably if you are looking out for in the future to pursue assistant or associate professor a Post Graduation degree would be the eligibility.

Choice is yours.

Hope this would be helpful.

Wish you good luck Dr...
