Hi Aksh,
Interesting question and interesting qualification too.
Please note, University are able to run a correspondence or distance learning course only because of its demand from the industry and students who do not wish to waste a year who opt for this course.
But I am of the opinion, that a distance learning course is valid or is important, only when you have a practical exposure to the theory that you study. Distance courses are meant for professionals who are working in a relevant field and gaining experience of what they learn in the college. Or else it is just a degree.
Moreover, since its correspondence, Institutes do not provide internship programs, since they know that a student is a professional and hence would be exposed to the subject matter in practical sense.
But in your case, you are pursuing a masters degree, and are not working. SO as such, you would be considered a fresher in the industry, unfortunately without any internship or practical experience.
Here I would suggest, that get into a job ASAP, so that you could do justice to the degree you wish to pursue.
Rest is your choice.
Hope this helps.
Wish you good luck..
Dear Aspirant,
MCom and now PGD in International Business as a distance learning mode? I would not recommend you to take too much of distance learning courses. What is the reason you are taking the distance learning mode? Are you working?
Have you taken your graduation also through distance mode? If yes, then you will have a tough time getting into employment in the private sector. If no, then I would suggest that you should go for MBA in International Business as a full time course.
MCom as a masters degree is fine however it does not have employment value.
Best wishes
