Interesting career option.

But I am unable to understand, that do you work in a footwear store or it is your own business.
But what I have understood is that, you wish to learn more about footwear and designing.

As a footwear designer, the course would teach you:
to identify different materials
  • Different style for shoes
  • Latests trends

  • Latests designing
As a designer, apart from the above mentioned knowledge, you need to be highly creative and have good visualization skills.
This will help you understand the customers requirement and thereby produce something different or unique.

Since this course is related to designing, mainly Institutes are providing a Graduation degree which is roughly a 3 years course, post 12th, any stream.
One has to clear an entrance exam, which would tests the students visualization skills in a short period of time with limited resources.

Other than that there are only 2 institutes providing certificate courses ranging from 6 months to a year.
