As such, MBA is not considered being equivalent to a masters degree. Hence preferably pursue M.Com through correspondence.
Hence you would be eligible to be an Assistant professor.
In terms of specialization, bot marketing and finance have good opportunities. As such being from the commerce background, preference would be finance, but if you are interested in sales and marketing, then you could opt for marketing studies.
Preferably, get a first hand experience, during your first year, and get to understand the subject, it will then help you choose or select a specialization.
