A rise in awareness about mental well being and fitness, people are now open to meeting a counselor and sharing their problems. Even corporates have started a grievance cell and in regular intervals arrange for stress reliving sessions for their employees.
Hence the scope of psychology has expanded from just clinics and or hospitals to corporate to schools to teens to sports etc.
Thus if you wish to pursue a career in psychology and work as a counselor, there are ample opportunities,
But apart from just assessments and therapies, certifications in NLP, hypnosis, play therapy, mediation, alternate medicines etc, would be needed, as every help would be provided under one roof by you.
Thus after 12th, you could opt for a BA in Psychology and follow it with a masters degree in either Clinical or Counseling or Social or Industrial or guidance and counseling Psychology.
