Bank PO is higher designation offered in the Government Banking Sector. Bank PO exam is conducted for the students who are Graduates. There are two types of Bank PO exam conducted.

The candidate who wish to make a career as PO in any of the Government Banks they need to give an IBPS Bank PO exam. IBPS BANK PO exam is conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection for the remaining 21 Government Banks in the Country.

The educational eligibility for Bank PO Exam  is the same as follows-

1. A candidate should hold a Graduation Degree from any of the stream (except Fine Arts ) from a recognised university.

2. Should be an Indian; Subject to Nepal,Bhutan.

3. Age- 20 to 30 years; Age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC and 10 years for Disabled person.

The IBPS PO exam is conducted in 2 levels

1. Common Written Exam (CWE)

2.Interview

You can either apply online or offline.

The Bank PO exam syllabus is as follows-

1. English- work on the Comprehension,Articles,Preposition, Grammar Usage, Vocabulary

2. Reasoning

3.GK -  Read newspapers, periodicals, magazines, watch news channels etc. on the daily basis. Reading is very much needed to crack the General Awareness/GK.The Hindu newspaper will be helpful for you. For financial updates read Newspapers like Economic Times, Loksatta Times etc.

4. Quantitative aptitude (Interest, Percentage ,Shares etc)

Refer the NCERT school books or competitive Bank Preparation books by the writers like  R.S.Agarwal etc.
