Why do you wish to shift to the Fashion Industry????
Anyways its your choice.
But before that how good is your imagination skills??How good is your sketching???How good is your sense of colour, and fabric ???
All this are the skills you need to begin as a Fashion designer.
And as Dr Anand has rightly said there are PG Diploma programs available for fashion designing. To pursue this course, you would have to clear the entrance exam and also keep a book of sketches ready as a portfolio, which is essential at the time of interview.
At the same time, try and build your contacts that would be handy when you ultimately begin on your own.
Also please note there are short term courses that are available for say 6 months. Pursuing this will give you an idea as to where exactly are your designing skills, and then you could opt for a PG Diploma program.
