Hi subash,

Ishan institute is a private institute it is fairly ok. Doesn't seems to be popular institute among students.

MBA is a degree program whereas pgdm is a diploma. Degree always value more than diploma. Unless PGDM done from institutes like IIM's , ISB etc where PGDM program is equivalent to MBA.

Hope this helps

All the best

Dear Subhash,

Glad to hear on your decision of studying an MBA. May I know why have you decided to do an MBA? I know lots of students get attracted to the word MBA blindly for glamorous reasons, and later end up suffering because of their wrong choice. So please ask yourself once if you want to do an MBA, and why you want to do the MBA after all? An MBA is not a post graduate degree, but actually a professional degree. Meaning, it requires the right skills and abilities to excel on your MBA program and as well post MBA in your job. So to judge if you are a right fit to studying an MBA, it is essential to test if you have the personality to study this degree. For that, it is highly advisable to spend on a few minutes on this website and take up the psychometric testing. This test will assess your persoanlity type, skills and abilities to excel in MBA and post MBA. Taking this highly crucial to be able to have a stable MBA career. I hope you do this assessment.

Going to your question, I personally would not recommend you to study at this college, for I never heard of the name itself. This is another mistake that most students does. For the sake of doing the MBA, never do it. You should only study the MBA, at a college that stands reputed for its student personal development. In this case, I would advice you to consider the reputed Business schools (B schools) in India for the MBA admission.
Reputed B Schools in India are:
IIM Ahmedabad
IIM Bangalore
ISB Hyderabad
IIM Calcutta
IIT Kharagpur Vinod Gupta school of management
IIT Delhi school of management
IIT Bombay Shailesh Mehta school of management
IIM Lucknow
IIT Madas department of management
IIM Indore
XLRI
FMS Delhi
IIT Roorkee department of management
SP Jain Institute of management
Symbiosis
IIM Khozhikode
IIM Shillong
IIM Ranchi
IIM Trichy

Studying at either of these schools is advisable rather studying at an unknown institution. To get into the above schools is a bit tough, however worth studying as the studying experience will be top rated and post MBA job will also be stable because of the skills you will develop through your MBA years at the above schools.

Admission test:
The most common entrance test that you need to write is the CAT exam. Writing CAT and qualifying with a very high score will give you an offer at any of the IIM's. However GRE/ GMAT exam is required for ISB Hyderabad and XAT is required at FMS Delhi. The rest of the schools accepts CAT, GATE or administers their own test.

Finally I would advice you to take CAT coaching at TIME coaching center or any other reputed centre and get high scores to earn yourself a top quality MBA admission at any of the said above schools. All the best.
