Hello maam.. i worked for 2 yrs after which i have quitted my job in last September to prepare for Cat 2016. But unfortunately my result is pathetic this time. I wish to give it a second shot this year. Wil it be ok to drop a year for cat 17?plz advise.

Hello Pratik, 

Preparing for CAT that too compromising a year does  not sound so good. But if you have strong reasons for the same go ahead. Because this questionn could be asked to you during the interview round.

Anyways, hope you are aware that work experience is also counted in the final score of CAT. Best would be either to enrol for any short term course or certificate or get into a part time job while you prepare for the exam.
