Dear. I appreciate your query. You need not to be worried about what you are now. But you should be courageous enough to accept what you are and to choose something most suitable for you. Career is something which you choose according to your own circumstances more than that of the external circumstances. Only such a decision can give you apt result. You are luck in one way, Let me reassure you. You definitely have some other skills and aptitudes which others may not have at all and that is what we have to find out. We, clinical psychologists use many psychometric assessment techniques to find out the aptitudes and skills inborn in a person. Such skills and aptitudes found should aptly describe you perfectly. Hope I am being more clear.

You are not the only person who suffers from eye problems. There are millions around. All these people do something as their career. Career is not just for bread earning. Career describes what the aspirant is and what he is capable of. Understanding career is understanding himself.

You can choose a career from a variety of fields such as lawyer, artist, accountant, secretary etc. I know a person who runs an industry and he is totally blind. So the choices are abundant and you just have to find your potential. You did not mention your current qualification and age.

Please assess your abilities, skill and potential using the psychometric tests, then you should know exactly what you are capable of. Then set yourself off for a great career. For assessment you shall visit http://psychocure.webs.com/ Thank you.

Hi There,

Really feels proud to know that despite a setback you have not given up and are aiming at making a future.
A hearty congratulations.

Here before we talk about careers you could think of.

I would like to know from you, what kind of an eye problem??
And I am sure, you might have been to an eye doctor, has he recommended you not to view computers and is there no cure???
I am writing this because please note that this a technical world, so any field you opt for right from computers to data entry to teaching requires minimum use of the computer.

If the eye issues is such that there is no correction, then some options in careers i can think off where computers would be minimum to no use would be:

  • Alternate Medicine / Healing: Mainly includes alternate methods of healing apart from use of medicine. Using Flower therapy, Essential oils, hypnotherapy, acupuncture etc.
You can pursue either a Diploma program or a Degree course.

  • Physical / Fitness trainer:
The course is called Bachelors in Physical Education. It is a 3 years course, for any 12th pass student.

  • Psychologists / Counselor,
For this course, after 12th, you would have to pursue a BA in Psychology followed by a MA in Psychology. You can choose either Counseling psychology or guidance counseling.
As a counseling Psychologists, you can work in schools and counsel school children. Mostly once a month a report needs to be given to the school authority.
In case of Guidance and counseling, you would be into Aptitude testing, and helping students choose a career. Mostly the tests are manually conducted and scored.

  • B.Ed Special Education: Mainly related to helping students who have study or learning disability. For this course, you can pursue any Graduation, better if you have done a BA Psychology. After that you can pursue a B.Ed and specialize in Special education.

Hope this helps.

Wish you good luck............
