First of all congratulations for getting admission in to regional engineering college and it's better that you realized it's not a career stream that you like, well this is not only a problem with you however this is the common mistake that so many student do and later on they realized about it. But don't worry this is not the end because you can even change your branch now, and for changing your branch first you need to coordinate with your college administrative authority, generally in every college there is a option called Branch Sliding basically this a option for student so that they can change their branch at the end of first semester but it is totally depends upon two things first is number of available vacate seats and second your rank in entrance exam.
If your branch is not changed after this Branch Sliding option then you can go for Branch Change option, and you can opt for this facility at the end of your second semester generally this is considered as a chance for good students who actually want to change there stream but for this rules may be different from institute to institute and for this you need to get info in your college basically there two things that institute generally considered first minimum number of marks required in first year and maximum number of seats available.
