Helo today I got a message saying ur resume has be shortlisted by hcl company and u need to send ur id and address to the email id

So do company send such message actully I applied in hcl 6 months before and id provided by them is [email protected] is this msg fake or real

I hope you have not sent any details to the mail id.

Please note that whenever a company sends a mail, they would be sending it through their companies website, and will not have a generic mail id like gmail or yahoo or any such id.
It would mostly end with the name of the company. eg. [email protected].

Any registered company will register always with their companies name and get a domain in their name which is certified and registered and no one can play with that id.



Note when you send a mail to the company through your mail id, the net server registers your mail id and your message sent.

Hackers then make use of it by sending such hoax mail.

Very common mail everyone finds is, " You have won a lottery of 1 crore. Send us your bank account number and your address".

Please do not any time entertain such mails.

Since you had sent in your job application to HCL, and you have received a mail, the best thing for you to do at this stage is to call at HCL and confirm if they have sent you a mail. If yes confirm their mail id and then only forward your CV.

Anyways this is a fake mail, so best is to ignore it.
In case a company shortlists a candidate, they do not send a mail, they inform the person via call and then send a mail through the companies registered domain id.

So please by no chance entertain such mails.

In-case you apply to any companies, best would be to send in your Resume through courier to the company or upload your Resume on the companies website.

Such mails about recruitment are purely fake. Email Id is not official.

I have seen fake emails about recruitment in the name of Microsoft, Infosys, Wipro and Facebook.
