Hello Arindam,
Agreed that you have scored less in 12th.
Firstly, I do agree that a goal is needed to motivate one to study and score well, but that alone is not just the criteria to score well. Scoring and getting a good score should be your aim never the less you get selected in an organization or not. The other way round is not the correct reason to score good.
Secondly, why do you wish to work after 12th?
Thirdly, in terms of campus recruitments, which generally happens once you in a degree course and it generally takes place, between the 3rd year and beginning of the 4th year. And as far as I know, recruiters check for the overall performance of the student and not just 12th score or percentage, as well as they see the potentials of the student on the basis of projects undertaken during the academic year.
So you need not worry, if you have scored low in 12th. Work hard and sincerely and score well.
In terms of the question you have asked, relating to a job. Agreed that companies would shortlist you on the basis of your score or percentage. But no harm in applying, because if you are really having the capacity or potentials then you would be able to convince them through your answers to the questions asked in the interview. Hope so your concepts are strong. At the sametime be ready to begin low, as in, low salary and designation, though after 12th or just being 12th pass, as such designations are not offered. So apply top all types or genres of companies and be ready with your concepts.
But one advise here, complete your Graduation through correspondence.
Wish you good luck...
