Education Requirements:
To become Computer engineer, you will typicaly require a bachelor of science degree in computer engineering, computer science or electrical engineering.


Responbilities or Required Technical Skills:
Since the Computer Engineering field is quite broad, the required technical skills listed in the job postings you may come across will vary, depending on whether the job ir more hardware or software focused, and which industry the employer belongs too. Typically, you will need to have the followings:

1. An understanding of the particular Computer hardware Architecture you will be working with
2. Experience designing, coding and testing software
3. Familiarity with software test procedures or scripts
4. Experience building your own PC system
5. Understanding of different operating systems, including Windows and Linux, and how certain types of software will work with them.
6. Experience with device drivers

Computer Engineers usually use computer-assisted software engineering, or CASE, tools to automate the process. They also test, debug and update programs.
