Hello friend,

You have mentioned about pharmacy, is it Bachelor in Pharmacy or Masters in Pharmacy. Let me tell something about the subject and its scope. Then you will have an idea about the research and other scopes.

Pharmacy is a science and technique of preparing as well as dispensing drugs and medicines. It is a health profession that links health sciences with chemical sciences and aim to ensure the safe and effective use of pharmaceutical drugs.

The scope of pharmacy practice includes more traditional roles such as compounding and dispensing medications and it also involves more modern services related to health care, including clinical services, reviewing medications for safety and efficacy and providing drug information.

In western countries, the diagnosis of the patients are done by the doctors but the pharmacist decide the medicines and their dosage. Therefore, Pharmacy graduate have important role and earn attractive remuneration and can occupy strategic positions.

In the fast developing world, research and development (R&D) in the pharmaceutical industry is progressing and advancing at a very high speed which calls for pharmacy graduates with better opportunities.

The entry in government sector is assistant scientist, assistant professor, lecturer.

I private companies you can make entry as scientist after getting some exposure. There are many pharmaceutical companies in India and abroad which are working on drug discovery and formulation aspects.

You can become scientist in pharmacy field by working in some projects and finding new things. As a pharmacist in scientific field you have to develop and conceptualize your own research project.
