Hello,

Thank you for visiting at CareerGuide.com!!!

Firstly would like to congratulate you for thinking so far ahead about your career.

Secondly, I am sure you do have a future plan accordingly.

Since you have just cleared your higher secondary, means 12th exams, Hoping it is in the commerce stream.

The course you have spoken about CFERM, is related to Risk management, securities and treasurey management.

So this course is best suited for students from the commerce and especially banking or financial management knowledge.
So instead of general B.Com, you could even opt for either BBA, Bachelors in Banking and Accounting or BFM, Bachelors in Financial management.

This will atleast give you a fair idea regarding securities and financial management.

After that you can either look out for courses related to Risk management, which is provided as a certificate course or you could opt for an MBA in Risk management or an MBA in Finance.
After completing an MBA you could get into either a financial institute or a Bank and get a fair idea as to how the system works, and then you could opt for CFERM.

CFERM, is an advanced level course, which is mainly suitable for candidates who are into the senior level position and with minimum 8 to 10 years of work experience.

To learn from the course, you atleast need the basic knowledge and must have dealt with liquidation and trading and risk liabilities.
Only then learning one step deeper will be effective.

Hope this answers your query.

Dear Aspirant,

Thanks for approaching us at CareerGuide.com Highly appreciate your career foresightedness and happy to see your interest and passion towards reaching for your goal.

Risk Management is a bog field which ranges from finance to manufacturing. Supposing that you are into the commerce stream, you could first aim for Chartered Accountancy / Cost Accountancy as a professional course alongside you complete your graduation.

Post graduation, if you manage to clear the intermediate level of CA or CMA, then you will have a better idea about the risk management domain.

CFERM is a certification highly valued in the industry and you can aim to get it post completion of either CA or CMA. MBA Finance post your graduation is also one of the best option you can think of.

Best wishes,

Dr. Anand Wadadekar
