Please note, all specializations in Psychology firstly falls under the Applied Psychology category.
The difference is in terms of just Psychology and Applied Psychology.
Please note, as such a degree in Psychology is a 3 years course, whereby a student is exposed to theories and assessments. Whereas In Psychology Honors, apart from the theory and assessments they are provided with training and at the end, that is the final year. they are supposed to submit a dissertation, stating their complete understanding of the subject, and only then are granted their degree.
In terms of Applied Psychology, firstly it is a 4 years course, and secondly it applies the concept of psychology in day to day living which encompasses our lifestyle, habitat, food and sleep.
As such any counselor, during their counseling or therapy session do focus on the personal aspects of the client, so Applied Psychology as such, reduces its vale during academics.
Thus I would prefer a Psychology Honors, as it is an indepth understanding of the subject, through hardcore practical training that too at the graduate level itself. But mind you, it would be a comprehensive course and very difficult too.
