Hello student,
Homeopathy is a stream of alternative medicine developed bya German physician more than 200yrs ago. Itis a medical field based on the belief that ' like cures like'. So the doctor would try to bring back the balance in the body by using natural herbs and supplements.

Allopathy on the otherhand, is the field ofmedicine often considered under the label of 'western medicine'. This stream uses pharmacologically active agents to treat the disease.

The main difference between both these streams is that in Allopathy there is a symptom based approach to treatment, thus a disease is believed to be cured when its direct symptoms are taken care of. Homeopathy on the other hand uses a more holistic philosophy where the aim of treatment is bringing back the balance in the body to normal and thus treating the root cause of the disease and not only the overt symptoms.
