Hello There!

Your question is really unique and I appreciate that you are aware of the reality and would like to get ready for answering questions in the real world. I appreciate that you have asked the right question and glad that you thought of approaching CareerGuide.com for seeking resolution to your question. Your question is simply fantastic and I am excited to answer it my way.

I understand that you have done BSc Physics and you are thinking of doing MBA.

Since you are not able to answer why you have chosen MBA as an option after doing a BSc Physics itself is the reason that you need to re-look at your decision!

My Dear, it is very important to know for your self that is MBA really a good option for person who has studies Physics? Physics is such a wonderful field with many career options in it.

Please understand that I am not saying that people from non-commerce field should not do MBA, but I feel to let you know that you need to assess your self first as to will really MBA help you. Doing MBA after Physics graduation will lead you to an altogether different field no more related to science or physics. Through MBA you can get into Marketing, Finance, Human Resource, International Business, etc. which are not at all related to science or physics background.

I would like to request you to ask your self that are you doing MBA just for the sake of the degree or because your fiends are doing it or you have seen some one get successful doing an MBA or just because people are doing MBA? Answering to these questions is most important, since these answers will exactly tell you why you are doing an MBA. And then my dear, you will be automatically be able to answer to the question 'Why MBA after BSc Physics'?

If you are really excited and interested about MBA then dont be hesitant to say so, but I would recommend you to get a psychometric assessment done which will be able to tell you exactly for what and which career option you are really made up for.

Best Luck

Be confident and answered in full positive attitude as that is what matter more not the answer or question, as the main moto is to see how you handle a situation and how clear you are in your views, the way you approach a thing is important and how you so your ability and express your views and points, and you have the ability to prove your point and answer the way you want.

Dear Friend, you have opted MBA afetr B.Sc Physics, nothing wrong in that. An MBA after any gradaution degree is goin to help you. You are a graduate in Physics, means you have technical knowledge and basic prinicples and concpts of Physics. As a physics graduate the job avenues for you will be very limited. You may try for jobs in some instrument company, but technically speaking a physics graduate has limited scope in an instrument manufacturing company. You can easily join a mrketing field, as we know that so many graduates (wheter arts, commerce, or science subjects) are joing companies as a marketing job. Such jobs are very challenging and really hard work and interpersonnel skills are required to sustain and grow.
A degree of MBA (wheter marketing, Human resource developmenet or related to finance) definitely going to give a kick to the career of anyone. The management degree will let you know about the management aspects of any organization. Now it depends on you what specialization you would choose , human resource or marketing or someting else.
Let me give you my example, I am doctoral degree holder in Microbiology, still after that I have done in 2012 one year Diploma in Rnvironment managemet. This I have done because I have carried lot of research work on environmental aspects. Next I have done recently An Advance Diploma in Health and Risk Safety Management. This I have done to justify myself for any suitable job in Private organization. Because the field of environment has more job opportunities, moreover it was a passion for me to learn more about health and risk management. Because, I have carried out many research problems on waste water, gropund water microbiological studies and effluent teratment realted by microbial means realted to important rivers and lakes in India.
If some one asks me, why after docatoral degree, you have opted for diploma courses, I simply answer, I want to have some sort of degree in my hand realted to environmental sublect and I want to know more about environmental aspects.
Therefore, you have a genuine reason to tell people that an MBA degree will give you knowledge of management skills or how to manage human resources. Since you are a science graduate in Physics, the MBA degree will open many job avenues for you in management or administrative fields and you will more chance ot growth.
Good Luck....
