A Gazette Officer means a person whose name appears in the official Gazette Published by the Government eg. Judicial Magistrate,IAS or PCS officer etc.A Gazette Officer have special Privileges and have the recognition across the country.
In order to become a Gazette officer one needs to give an Civil Service Exam of IAS conducted by the Union Public Service Comission which is also called as UPSC exam.

There are limits for the attempt of the exam- For General the attempts are 6; for OBC is and for the reserved there are no limits for the attempt upto age limit.
