"Keeping in mind the end goal is to end up as an IPS Officer, one needs to appear for . - CSAT (Civil Service Aptitude Test) - Civil Services Main Examination - One ought to secure high marks in Main Examination and needs to give good performance in interview too keeping in mind the end goal is be set an IPS. Where less than 100 candidates are selected every year for IPS - one need to get into TOP 300 ranks to get into this service.

Generally there is risk that the aspirant will be put in other common administration services like IRS i.e Indian Revenue Services , Indian Railway Services and likewise.

Here is the required qualification criteria that an applicant need  to take up this exam.

Scholastic Capability : - One should have finished bachelors degrees  with any of the stream from a recognised college. - Hopefuls who are in the last year of Graduation are likewise qualified to this exam yet they should have the capacity to demonstrate the evidence of passing Graduation when they show up for Interview.

Age criteria : - One ought to be in the age gathering of 21-32 years to be qualified for this exam. -

Relaxation is provided in upper age limit upto 3 years for the applicants of OBC class. - Relaxation arrives in upper age limit upto 5 years for the competitors of SC/ST class. The greatest number of endeavors for the competitors of General class are 4, for OBC applicants 7 and there is no restriction on the quantity of endeavors for the hopefuls of SC/ST classification. Thus, as you are being an applicant of definite year B.Tech, I recommend you to pick the option subjects for Main exam as per your stream in B.Tech and begin planning for the exam. Better to join a coaching organization for this exam since its one of the toughest exam and requires  great preparation by the aspirants and can be provided by these coaching institutes.  For complete data on this common administrations exam, you can visit http://www.upsc.gov.in/
