A career in the civil sevice is considered one of the best career options and many students aspire to make a career in the same. The students who aspires to serve their country and society for them this is one of the good career option. IAS means Indian Administrative services which is a post that comes under the Central Government and it is a Class I officer post.

 

The IAS exam is every year conducted by the UPSC Board i.e Union Public Service Commission. The UPSC Exam is said to be one of the toughest exam and also called as mother of all exams.

 

In order to be eligible for the UPSC exam one needs to meet the following eligibility criteria-

1.A student needs to be a graduate from any stream from a recognised university or the students who are in the last year of degree and are waiting for their results to come are also eligible to apply for the exam.

2. A candidate who is an Indian can apply for the IAS exam.

There are restrictions for the no. of attempt to the exam  and age bar as follows-

1.General- Age limit is 32 years and the no. of attempts is 6.

2.OBC - Age Limit is 35 years and the no. of attempt is 9.

3.Resreveration- Age limit is 37 years and no. of attempts are unlimited.

 

You can apply for the IAS UPSC exam either online or offline. If you are intrested to apply offline you need to take a print from the www.upsconline.nic.in. 

For offline form fill up the form an send to the mentioned official address on the website.

If you are filling online you need to fill up all your personal details and need need to take the print on A4 size paper of SBI challan and use the same for the payment in SBI Bank nearby to you.

 

The IAS form consists of two parts Regestration Part1 and 2. You need to register for the both parts.
